Victory in Chelseas 100th home European match kept the Champions League quest going and Jose Mourinho was very satisfied with what he witnessed from his team.Putting the disappointment against Aston Villa firmly behind them, the Blues never looked in danger of slipping up against the Turkish champions with the goals coming at good moments - early in the first half and shortly before half-time.In his pre-match conference, Mourinho had predicted the outcome of this Round of 16 game would be uncertain until near the end, and although he stuck by that view after the match, he had felt confident throughout it was going his way…It was a very good performance, very solid, very compact, no fears and a very good approach to the game, said Mourinho, because even if you are winning 2-0 it is difficult because if they score one goal you are on the limit. The team was very solid and confident and very much in control for the 90 minutes which is difficult to do.The 2-0 kept the game alive to the end but the way we played was very solid so even with the score 2-0 we were very much in control and had the best chances to score again.
