*** Video Released in Armed Robbery Investigation*** Our Criminal Investigation Division is seeking the public’s assistance in connection with an armed robbery at a commercial business located on Barbour Drive in Mt. Pearl, NL. On Thursday, May 1, 2014 at approximately 10:30 pm, RNC officers from Patrol Services Division, Forensic Identification Services, Police Dog Services and Criminal Investigation Division responded to an armed robbery at Needs Convenience on Barbour Drive. The male suspect entered the store armed with a weapon and demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries sustained during the commission of the offence. The male is described as being in his early 20’s, approximately 5’5” in height with a skinny build. At the time of the incident the suspect was described as wearing a black hoodie and a bandana which was used to conceal his face. Our General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate this armed robbery and is seeking the assistance of the general public in identifying the individual responsible.
