Video number 2 of 2 . I do this at the very end of my work out for back and shoulders day after a bicep compound movement . A lot of people when do these movements or biceps exercises for that matter engage their anterior delts which assists with the curls thus lessening the biceps work load. What I like to do is 1) start from a dead hang ..arms swinging slightly by the sides 2 ) elbows NEVER move forward or laterally or AT ALL thus u will not be able to curl all the way up as result not engage anterior delts or other ancillary muscle group to assist. Because of this, the entire load is on the biceps 3) whenever u start each rep u let your arms dead hang again so it will swing slightly 4 ) u will notice the dumbbells follow almost in line with my torso so its similar to drag curls I probably could curl more if I start out with it first instead of after all those weighted pull /chin ups or if I have a dedicated arms day. But the muscle group imo isnt really worth its own day better instead to devote more time to larger muscle ie back/legs group to elicit a favorable hormonal mileu thus better body composition If you like videos like these let me know and I will keep making more .
