Has landed another A-Lister for his much anticipated movie “Hateful 8”? A Confidenti@l spy spotted the legendary director “boisterously discussing a role with Oscar nominee at the Greenwich Hotel in Tribeca. According to the eagle-eyed hotel guest, the pair had what appeared to be scripts in front of them and seemed to be discussing characters. The “Reservoir Dogs” filmmaker was overheard enthusing to Mortensen about a “ruthless gang leader” role. The movie, set to begin shooting this November in Wyoming, follows a gang of post-Civil War bounty hunters who get stranded in a blizzard. Longtime Tarantino collaborators andreportedly are already attached to the project. Meanwhile, the director was snapped enjoying company of a different kind Friday night. The Oscar winner held hands with actress, whom he directed in 2007’s “Grindhouse.” They took a romantic stroll and even stopped for a brief spell of PDA on the street. A rep for Mortensen didn’t respond to our request for comment.
