Villa U21 1-0 Blackburn U21 - FT: A last gasp strike from substitute Daniel O’Brien gave Villa the points at Burton’s Pirelli Stadium. O’Brien latched onto Riccardo Calder’s left-wing cross with two minutes of stoppage time remaining. Villa edged a tight affair and carved the better opportunities. Graham Burke went close from long-range on a number of occasions while Bradley Lewis saw headers from set pieces drift high and wide respectively. Stopper Craig Hill was largely untroubled throughout the 90 minutes as Villa ended a run of five games without victory.
