Village Church News 1/8/15 The amount of daylight we experience each day is increasing. I know, it seems awful cold and dark most of the time, but the fact is that we are gaining more light every day. The darkest day of the year is behind us. Light and darkness are accurate images of how life looks. When we put faith in Jesus God fills us with his life (light). The God who is light, and in whom there is no darkness, is in our lives. No matter how it looks or feels, the darkest days are behind us. Remember who you are in Jesus, and who he is to you. Light. Life. And in him there is no darkness at all. Weve redesigned the church website. Check out the easier to navigate layout. New Guest Lunch. If youre new to the Village Church (or feel like youre new) and just checking us out youre invited to lunch (our treat) at Noon on the first Sunday of the month at DJs in downtown Baldwin. Just RSVP Stu via the Connection Card, phone or email (dix.stu@gmail; 715-441-8018). Next New Guest Lunch: February 1. The next couple of Partnership Training Courses will be: Jan 17 (Intro to the Bible); and Jan 21 (Intro to Ministry and Mission). Details on the website. RSVP now. If you have had a change of address in 2014 please let us know so that we can mail the 2014 giving statements to the correct location. Jesus invites us to follow him and learn to live life like he did - with God in our lives like God is supposed to be in our lives. Briefly, that is a life committed to loving God (what we call UP), and loving people (What we call IN and OUT). We dont have a lot of programs at The Village Church. But, what we do offer is a network of relationships to help you live UP, IN, and OUT. Ask me more about it. This week well return to our teaching series in the Bible book of Genesis (An Invitation to meet our Maker) and well take a look at how Legos, free will, real choices, a ziggurat and Gods commitment to keep his promises are all found in one great story (kind of). Well also be worshipping with communion. Hope to see you Sunday. Invite a friend along.
