Vince DelMonte #delmonteproteam Workout Log Week 3, Workout 4: Lower Body Surprisingly, EVERYTHING WAS EASIER THAN LAST WEEK, even though everything should have been harder as I lifted much heavier on the deadlifts and did an extra 10 seconds on every time under tension set. If you saw last weeks workout log for legs you see me really struggling to complete 50 seconds of dumbbell squats. Well, take a look at the video below where I not only make it through 60 seconds but actually do an extra rep after the timer goes off. Both videos show the 3rd and final set of these. **Why so strong and energized?!? #carbbackloading baby! As I mentioned, EVERYTHING was easier. Started at 315 for 4 reps on deadlifts...easy! Did more weight on hack squat plus an extra 10s on each set...easier than last week! Also got the BIGGEST quad pump Ive ever had! A. Deadlift: 6 sets - 4,4,3,3,2,2, reps; 40X0; tempo; 3min rest Only used lifting straps on the final set and lifted 25 lbs more for the 4 rep sets than I did for my 4 rep sets 2 weeks ago! (Next three are CTTS/time under tension sets, keep the weight moving until the timer goes off!) B. Kneeling Leg Curl (feet neutral, toes dorsiflexed): 3x60s; 2min rest C. Hack Squat Machine: 3x60s; 90s rest D. Heels Elevated DB Squat: 3x60s; 60s rest Calves:Seated Calf Machine; set the timer for 10 minutes and do as many reps as possible! 65 seconds on all CTTS sets next week...BRING IT ON! #makeithappen #nononsense #livelarge
