Vincents Starry Night (1889) vs. Galaxy picture taken with radio telescope. When most of us look out at nighttime sky to see the stars, what do we see? We see little white dots. Well Vincent didn’t see white dots, he saw these extraordinarily swirling colored objects. It wasn’t until the 21st century that we were able to develop radio telescope to see that the colors and forms that we can’t see, that develop around stars actually closely resemble the image that Van Gogh gave us in the 1880s Don McLeans Vincent was inspired by The Starry Night and the life and death of Van Gogh (1971). https://youtube/watch?v=oxHnRfhDmrk Look also at his most intense self-portrait (1889) pulsating with energy.
