Vinnie was absolutely delighted to meet a new friend today! Our new boy, Rocky, just happened to be in the exercise yard when Mr. Vinnie Van Gogh was taking one of his many walks today, and as soon as the two spotted each other, it was as if they had been friends their whole life. The boys had no reservations whatsoever about going right up to each other for the sniff-inspection, running back and forth together, and even kissing each other! It was just fantastic to see Vinnie having such fun with another dog. Vinnie will be going for his consultation with the physical therapist next week and once he starts water therapy, we are hoping that he will be able to play off-leash with his new friend Rocky. Naturally we need to make sure that playing doesnt get too rough since Vinnie is not healed yet from his hip surgeries, but some supervised playtime would be just great for the Vin Man. We are so excited to watch the progress that Vinnie is making and today, playing with another dog, we were just thrilled to watch him take another step closer to living a normal, healthy, happy life. He still has quite a few more steps to go, but hes getting there! Thank you all so much for your support of Vinnie and for helping us to help him so much.
