:Vintage FlAsH BaNG: Howrah 7s, 2013 With summer exaggerating the seriousness of the weekend, now entering its adolescent epoch, the tourney, played in the sprawling Municipal ground (much thanks to Howrah Warriors!), it was once again the time for business. Burgeoned against each other once again were the heavyweights from the alleged city of joy. The city of hope. The city of Crows. The city, in all sincerity, were to witness yet again, of what it is fabled as, the Mega Clash of the Titans! With searing heat gripping the field to ransom, the titanic group in green and yellow made headway in the days proceedings, easing through the group stage with finesse. But that was not to be. Howrah 7s were to expect something more this time. Something bigger. While the most Hazardous team played out the matches with the evergreen Sunny Singh , like poetry and Hammerheads playing with an inspired performance by Shubhomoy Brahma, sketches of visible rugby were displayed by aimless groups. ...victory belongs to the one who believes in the most of it... With abstract side stepping by Sarfaraaz Ahmed and muscularly supported by Tudu Sailen, it was always a matter of death to deal with them. That, with the unfathomable Boyka Deep Das and the valiant puttar-di-punjabi Lovepreet Gill ably guiding the oily scrum well into the enemy lines, the job was last left to the lion heart Pritam Singh and the slippery Pratap Kundu to take control over each and every score board. Nanda Majhi making headways in every minute way possibly possible, relentless enemy waves were left brooding. Eventually, the Armenian armada made a masterful entry into the finale, and were poised for a massive upset. Poised to grab hold of the day. Poised to win. Inch by inch, blood was sweated out, enemies were pushed to the brink of desperateness. Pushed to the wall. In the end, the day belonged to the one who believed in it the most. And while everyone witnessed another spectacle of blood and glory, the slogan rang across pavements of broken dreams, from across boundaries and the shackles of the eroded society. And it indeed belonged to the entire family. WHO ARE WE!!!!! Howrah 7s 2013: Jungle Crows (Winners)
