Virulent Islam is expanding over the globe primarily because the West has invaded and killed hundreds of thousands of Muslims, if not millions, and Israel has ghettoized the Palestinians, and Saudi Arabia continues to breed and spread Wahabbism, and the foreign policy of the United States relating to the Middle East has propped up the vilest of military dictatorships. Sixty years ago there was no terrorist problem among Muslims worldwide. We have created the reaction we fear most. With every terrorist we kill, the innocent collateral damage we cause creates ten more. I am no fan of Wahabbist Islam; in fact, I wrote a graphic anti-war novel exposing its excesses, but lets be clear about one thing----the nation state has been and remains the greatest terrorist threat throughout history.
