If we havent met yet, Im Jessica Speziale and a solo artist from Toronto, Canada. I do pop rock with soul and Im in the studio as we speak making my second record!! Its been 2.5 years since my 1st EP, Dear Reverie, came out. Since then, Ive toured Southern Ontario, played a ton of shows with my 4-piece band, played all three of Torontos major music festivals, and have been writing will all kinds of artists on songs ranging from Americana to EDM. Its finally time to get to recording all the new songs that have come about so you can hear them and finally take them home!! The new record - called Shine! - is going to be FULL LENGTH! And includes a bunch of favourites from my live shows – Gimme Somethin, Stay, and Too Much To Take will all be on there – as well as a bunch of brand-new, never-been-heard tunes. Weve got HORNS! Weve got STRINGS!! And KEYS!! And are closer than ever to the rock/pop/soul fusion that drives my soul. Im working on this project with kick-ass songwriter/producers Darneezee and Matt Mak, and my kick-ass band Dave Sufrin, Iliya Vee, and Matt Makarenko. There are also special guest musicians galore! Were all super, super pumped! As it stands, the record is mostly tracked! Its just me (lead vocals and acoustic guitar), back-up vocals, strings, horns, and aux percussion to go. By the end of this campaign, well be mixing!! The expected release date is November 22nd, 2014. In order to finish and release the album financially, I need your help. Together, this is what well be funding: Paying the incredible musicians playing with me: $1800 Mastering: $1000 Printing and Packaging CDs: $1000 Throwing a killer release party (venue rental, staging): $500 Total = $4300 You probably noticed that the amount of our goal and the amount of the budget dont match. Were in this together! If we blow our goal out of the water that will only make for better Mastering and a more incredible show!! Im really really excited to offer a bunch of exclusive experiences and merch in the process!!
