Visit of Dr. Mercedes. Dr. Mercedes is a professor with Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, University of Michigan, USA. She is an expert in geospatial and temporal analysis of surveillance and disease forecast modelling. She is currently working in Ahmedabad city and District (Gujarat) and Barmer (Rajasthan) for Spatial heterogeneity and infectious disease dynamics with relation to Cholera and Malaria. She is member of UHCRC Advisory Committee. It was unique learning experience for UHCRC team. I am also happy to note that members of Community Medicine Department of GMCS also availed the opportunity to learn through their active participation. For me it was wonderful to learn Technology support providing absolutely new shape to Science of Epidemiology and new opportunities. Thanks to Dr. Mercedes for her friendly visit. UHCRC looks forward to stronger Networking for learning by doing.
