Visitation for Mr. Aubra McCarty will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturday, October 26, 2013 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 27, 2013 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Jason Merritt and Rev. William R. Mills officiating. Interment will be in Aubra McCarty Cemetery, Waynesboro, MS. Mr. McCarty, 86, a native and resident of Waynesboro, MS died Friday, October 25, 2013 at his residence in Waynesboro. He was retired as a Supervisor at Marshall Durbin. Mr. McCarty is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo McCarty; mother, Ruth McCarty; father, Albert McCarty; brother, Robert McCarty; 2 sisters, Emma Lee Lassiter, Lillian Collins. He is survived by 4 sons, Gary McCarty of Reno, NV, Carlos McCarty (Alice), Samuel McCarty (Theresa), Paul Byrd, Jr. (Donna) all of Waynesboro; 3 daughters, Mary Burford (Archie), Paula Riley (Jim), Angela Kendrick (Carl) all of Waynesboro; 2 brothers Rayburn McCarty of Waynesboro, Cecil McCarty of Stringer; 2 sisters Maudie V. Hartley of Millry, AL, Wilma Boykin of Waynesboro; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
