Visited North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous) after two years and glad to see a drastic change within these years. Under the dynamic leadership of honourable Principal, Sir Dr. Biman Chandra Chetia, the only autonomous college in Assam has been clubbed together with 36 colleges in India as centre of excellence and potential. The Semi University now offered PG courses in Assamese, Geography, Electronics etc. The infrastructure structure development is going on full swing and it has already have a new indoor stadium, basketball court, canteen, two separate new hostels for girls and boys, a renovated auditorium within these two years. The college should be recognized a campus of Dibrugarh University, for the greater interest of students of the North Bank of Bhramaputra, if not a University. Below are some snap shots of my visit with Principal Sir and GS of the student body along with other members of the union.
