Visitors to Blists Hill Victorian Town have witnessed some unusual aerial acrobatics over recent weeks. These were not a new circus attraction but tree surgeons carrying out essential work on a number of trees around the site. This helps ensure the safety of our visitors and protects the historic monuments and buildings. Preserving the many listed monuments in the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site is a key part of our work and to help this we have a rolling programme of tree maintenance around these monuments to prevent damage from falling branches or intrusive roots.
