Visual Perceptions Visual perception is the ability to interpret the surrounding environment by processing information that is contained in visible light. The resulting perception is also known as eyesight, sight, or vision (adjectival form: visual, optical, or ocular). The various physiological components involved in vision are referred to collectively as the visual system, and are the focus of much research in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, and molecular biology, collectively referred to as vision science. See Wiki Here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_perception Psychology on Perception Psychologists typically make a distinction between sensation and perception. Sensations are uninterpreted sensory impressions created by the detection of environmental stimuli, whereas perception refers to the set of processes whereby we make sense of these sensations. Perception enables us to literally navigate through the world, avoiding danger, making decisions, and preparing for action. Visual perception has received the most attention from researchers, and then speech. See Article Here: cognitivepsychology.wikidot/cognition:perception Visual Depth Perception Psychology Depth perception arises from a variety of depth cues. These are typically classified into binocular cues that are based on the receipt of sensory information in three dimensions from both eyes and monocular cues that can be represented in just two dimensions and observed with just one eye. See Wiki Here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depth_perception There are seven photographs here, each photograph is based on spiritual meditation. Like the inkblot (any of several psychological tests (as a Rorschach test) based on the interpretation of irregular figures (as blots of ink)), which is based on mirror imaging blots of ink on a piece of paper, by folding the piece of paper in half with ink blots randomly placed on the paper, but these pieces of meditative artwork can be used the same as an inkblot test. With considered content above, I would like to gather your visual perceptions of these pieces of artwork. Please dont be shy, because there is no right or wrong answer when sharing your perception of the photographs below. List your perceptions by numbering the photographs, one through seven, with the first being the photograph that comes first (one) and the last being the photograph that comes last (seven) in the provided listed order. You can also comment on each photograph by clicking on the photograph youve selected to discuss, if youd rather only discuss a single photograph. Thanks for your time and your perceptions, I would also like to share mine with you, after youve shared your perceptions. Sincerely, Rabbit
