Vitamin C is important for the growth of tissue in your body. Its used to: Form an important protein used to make skin, tendons, ligaments, and blood vessels, Heal wounds and form scar tissue, and Repair and maintain cartilage, bones, and teeth. Vitamin C also contains antioxidants which fight free radicals. Unfortunately, our bodies cannot store it, so we need to eat it regularly. It is found in fruits and vegetables. Vitamin C supplements are also beneficiary.
