Viv responded to a message I sent him recently. The band Last in Line will release the new album with new material in March. They have a record deal. Right after that Def Leppard will release their new album. His stem cell cancer treatment seems to have been successful, so everything should be back up and touring (Lord willing). There was no discussion on what sort of support the new Last in Line album will get by way of touring. I think theres a possibility that Last in Line could open for Def Leppard some nights on their upcoming Canadian Tour that starts in April... That would just make sense to me, but just my own speculation. Then Viv would just come out with Def Leppard right after. Would not be career suicide for anyone in this case, as everyone acknowledges that Phil Collen is the main lead guitarist in Leppard. Also, Leppard will be gone in five years and have made their $70 million or whatever. Vivian is a bit younger than the rest of the band and also his vocalist Andy Freeman is only mid 40s, so he can still go for another 15 years. Also, Vivian has not made anywhere near the $ the rest of Leppard have over the years, so for all his talent he should get his shot at the $10 million retirement. After going through all this cancer, he may need it.
