Vol. 70 Day 28 12/28/14 Dear Son and Daughter, As we begin to enter a New Year, our Torah portion from Genesis 47:28 – 50:26 gives us a clear picture of who we are! Through my Hebrew root studies, when I learned who I was, my whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation came alive to me. We are the seed of Abraham! Genesis 17:1-9 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly. Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. And God said to Abraham: As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. We are the seed of Isaac! Genesis 17:19 Then God said: No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him. We are the seed of Jacob! Genesis 48:3-5 Then Jacob said to Joseph: God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me, and said to me, Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people, and give this land to your descendants after you as an everlasting possession. And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine. Yahweh the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has made us carriers of the covenant of promise. Jacob made Ephraim and Manasseh full sons. Ephraim and Manasseh were to be as Jacob’s full blood sons, not grandsons. Through this act Jacob was pronouncing a prophecy for the future of Joseph’s family. He was saying that this seed would come home to the land of promise! Jacob whose name was changed to Israel represented the twelve tribes of Israel. Jacob made Joseph promise to return his bones back to the “promised land.” This act is prophetic and is a picture of those of us who have been scattered to the nations coming back to “the land.” Even as Jacob would not be buried outside of the “promised land” but would return to the land so will we that are Yahweh’s. This prophetic act of Jacob was a guarantee for all twelve of the tribes. This prophesy spoke of all twelve tribes returning to the land. Remember from Hebraic understanding the word land means three things: 1.The people of Israel. 2.The scriptures of Israel. 3.The physical land of Israel. All three are synonymous! Not one tribe will be missing! The story of Joseph is about the whole House of Israel and how Yahweh has preserved His covenant people through the ages! Those who believe in the Messiah are full blood sons of Israel. Full blood sons are heirs according to the eternal, everlasting promises that were given to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and us! As we begin this “New Year” let’s purpose to embrace our promised land. Ask Yahweh to connect you with His divine connections this year, His people. Ask Yahweh to cause His teaching and instruction (Torah), which is written on your heart and mind, to come forth from your walk and talk. Ask Yahweh to cause you to embrace the land of Israel. Love Y0u, Mom
