Volleyball Jump Serve Training. We are working with Julia on her Jump Serve by having her serve from various distances from the net. The closer to the net the more she has to focus on jump height, body control and accuracy striking the ball. As she moves from each distance we are having her work on cardio endurance and strength with burpees. The key is maximizing training time by working on vertical, strength, endurance and sport specific skills. The Kinetic Bands offer a great way for athletes to be mobile, fire the muscles in the legs and hips and work on sport specific skills all without changing your routine. In just a couple of months Julia has improved so much that her club coach now lets her do the majority of the serving and is totally confident in her jump serving the entire time.
