Volunteer guides needed: Howsham Mill is a beautifully restored - TopicsExpress

Volunteer guides needed: Howsham Mill is a beautifully restored Georgian watermill on the River Derwent at Howsham, five miles from Malton and 10 miles from York. Today it generates hydro-electricity and is an environmental education centre and meeting place. The Renewable Heritage Trust is looking for volunteer guides to show casual visitors around on Sundays and public holidays. After winning two national awards, we anticipate more such visitors in 2015. If you enjoy meeting people and could help in showing off this special building, we would like to hear from you. You can do as few or as many days as you like and full training will be provided. Please contact Martin Phillips at martinphillips52@btinternet or visit the mill one Sunday.
