And its true that my volunteering started already long time ago Here in France, Marmande and There in Latvia, Riga. Closest people already know that in Latvia my work and volunteering in Baltic Region fund, in Bambuss was connected with non-formal education, training coordination and work with youngsters in different projects, workshops and that in 2014 May I took part in 1 month short term EVS project DOMINOS in France, Marmande, Centre des Sureaux. It was so amazing experience, that already during short EVS I had conversation with organization about chance to come for long term EVS in organization in which I felt in love in May. To be a volunteer first of all it is lifestyle, its way of thinking. To be volunteer it means to be open minded, to be able to manage between situation, to improvise, to understand that other people can think differently and they have rights to do that and even more its something you need to respect, and of course to give much more to others than you expect back. I dont say its easy, its life long learning process to be volunteer. To learn how to keep balance between giving and sharing with others, and at the same time dont forget your needs and yes sometimes to be egoist. „I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.” - By Douglass Adams, from The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul And I believe that I have ended up where I needed to be! Even if its not easy, because I have experienced so many emotions in last 3 weeks as I havent experiences in last 13 years. And to observe all quantity of information and emotions it takes time, which at the moment isnt enough for me. With 24 hours in day isnt enough. Emotions, unknown information, confusion, stress, language barrier, fears to be misunderstood because of language issue is my reality. But its worth it, because other part of my reality is happiness, love, curiosity, pride, happiness, joy, excitement, laughter, revelation, adventures, new emotions, smile, sharing, open people, motivation. I love Marmande, I love local people, I love way of living. And here I can mention question about adoption. I started to felt it few days ago. In Latvia I lived in capital city Riga. I have used that you are running all the time, that everything is happening so fast. If you have problem you try to resolve it as soon as possible. Here I need to adopt myself for other way of thinking. It seems that people are more relaxed, they respect their free time they leave job at working place and dont take it to home. They evaluate time together and sharing with others. I know I have here for reason and maybe this reason is to find peace, balance inside, enjoy life even more as I do. To be thankful for chances that life give us and to live in harmony with myself. Life give us chances all the time and it depends only of us, how opened, motivated we are to use them. And which ways we chose its depends only of ourselves. I cant say in words how thankful I am to Ginta, Cathy and all Sureaux team, who excepted me. Big thank you for this chance.
