Volunteers Needed for April 12th Buddies Needed on April 12th PONY Baseballs Champions League is baseball for special needs (mentally and physically disabled) kids and the league based in Cypress, CA is the largest Champions league in the world. LAYB has volunteered to assist with getting Buddies to help at the games. They have teams, uniforms, banners, snacks - it is just like at LAYB! The players all hit each inning through their line up, with the last batter hitting a grand slam. Games are two complete innings. Last year we had the largest turnout at Champions Baseball ever!!! Lets continue to make LAYB the best league around! What do Buddies do? Buddies assist in running with the players as they round the bases on offense (sometimes even pushing wheel chairs). On defense, Buddies stand with the player in their position and direct them to where to throw the ball to make the out.
