Volunteers Needed for Dillard High School Project Are you ready to change a young persons life forever? We need your support for a unique project that is literally transforming Dillard High School 6-12! The My Future Is Now/KAPOW project trains teachers and volunteers to help students connect what they are learning in school with their vision for the future. The project can also arrange field trips for these students, their teachers and parents, to your workplace. This gives the students an opportunity to experience peoples jobs first-hand, expose them to the world of work, and connect you and your company to the community! This link - KAPOW, and video will give you more details. To participate, volunteers will be assigned to one 6th, 7th, or 8th grade class at Dillard (they now have a middle school on campus); volunteers must visit seven times during the school year for one hour to teach KAPOWs fun and easy to use lessons. Before you begin the lessons, a one-time training will show you how the lessons work, ensure you will be successful implementing the lessons, and have a great time doing it! The training is scheduled for August 8, 2014, from Noon - 3:00 PM, please contact John Casbarro, Program Director, by July 21st, for more information, please see his contact information below: John Casbarro, President Learning for Success, Inc.
