Over the course of the election, I will be posting one reason why you should vote for me per day. Here is Day 1. My experience. This year, I was an executive member of three school clubs: Secretary of BAM (school newspaper), Marketing Coordinator of Green Team, and Public Relations Officer of Leadership Club. As an executive member, I picked up many skills that would be beneficial to me in the student council secretarial position. I learned how to create meeting agendas and write meeting minutes, how to maintain a good relationship with fellow execs as well as school administration, and how to be both a friend and a leader to students in the club. I have participated in many leadership activities outside of school as well, including volunteering as a Summer Day camp Leader for Thompson Community Centre and a Reading Buddy for Richmond Public Library. I have also achieved Bronze Duke of Edinburghs Award, Grade 8 Practical Piano, Advanced Rudiments Theory, Bronze Cross Lifeguarding, Standard First Aid, CPR-C, and AED. In addition, I am a member of the Richmond Kigoos Competitive Summer Swim Club. Last year, I won an award in the Environmental Category at the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair, placed in the top 15% of Canada in the University of Waterloo Pascal math competition, and received the English 9 and Social Studies 9 Subject Awards. #oneaday
