W E’ R E H I R I N G GRAPHIC DESIGNER (Print & Web) Full – time position Brand: House of Hackney Location: Head Office – Shoreditch, London Closing date for applications - Friday16TH May 2014 House of Hackney was founded in London in 2010 by Javvy M Royle and Frieda Gormley. Originally founded as an interiors label, the brand has successfully grown to offer a full portfolio of homewares and fashion products, with an emphasis on quality, design and Made in England. House of Hackney operates two London based stores are stocked in 35 luxury department and concept stores worldwide. As a fast- growing brand with ambitious growth plans House of Hackney is expanding its team and such we are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated graphic designer to join the team. The role will predominately both web and print based; with the candidate creating both online and printed marketing materials. THE ROLE • Designing digital assets such as promotions, social, affiliate banners, email marketing campaigns, look books and brochures • Project management from idea conception to artwork delivery • Creating product stories and concepts for online features and rich-media content • Designing and project managing seasonal launches for the website in line with the company calendar. • Collaborating with eCommerce manager and relevant teams to test the sites for launch • Managing ecommerce image selection process with the design team • Working with external print suppliers through to final artwork delivery REQUIREMENTS • Formal training in Graphic, Digital Design or related field • Thorough and meticulous with extreme attention to detail • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Minimum 1-2 years web and print design experience in high -end fashion or online retail • An interest in fashion and the graphic arts with strong commercial awareness • Strong varied portfolio that includes ecommerce sites and marketing campaigns • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design • Experience in applying a brand’s look & feel with consistency and attention to detail • Familiarity with best practices in UI/UX design and designing for multiple screen resolutions • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task across projects • Ambition to grow House of Hackney into a global lifestyle brand • Ability to work in a fast paced environment OTHER • Experience in working on responsive design • Understanding and working knowledge of HTML / CSS • Understanding and working knowledge of Dreamweaver or related program • Knowledge of 3rd party email senders e.g. Mail Chimp • Knowledge of CMS systems e.g. Magento Candidates who would like to apply for this position please send through your CV and link to portfolio along with a cover letter to careers@houseofhackney Closing date for applications - Friday 16th May 2014
