#WA #SevereWeather Warning for damaging winds for people in the South West and South Coastal forecast districts Issued at 4:38 am WST on Saturday 6 September 2014. For people in parts of WA southwest of a line from Bunbury to Albany. This includes people in, near or between the following towns: Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, Bridgetown and Albany. Weather Situation The passage of a cold front during Saturday is likely to cause DAMAGING WINDS to 100 kilometres per hour that could result in DAMAGE TO HOMES AND PROPERTY. DAMAGING WINDS are likely to develop near the southwest Capes from 8am Saturday morning and extend throughout the warning area by early Saturday afternoon. Conditions will ease from the west during Saturday afternoon. The strongest winds will occur in coastal parts but damaging winds may still occur over inland areas. This is typical weather for this time of the year but winds may cause damage to property in areas and make road conditions hazardous. A stronger front will move through the southwest of the state from Sunday evening into Monday. Severe weather is more likely to occur with the passage of the second front from Sunday evening.
