WAITING FOR TOMORROW While waiting for tomorrow Don’t miss out on today Of the cares to come don’t borrow Just give them to God and pray For if we’ve given today our best And savored each hour and minute We can be content and peacefully rest Looking back on how we spent it But if we live in what might have been Or anticipation of what is to be We are forgetting to notice what’s in These hours we are given you see For there is no promise given Of tomorrow or even an hour So savor this life you are living And trust the One with the power To give us another day Or a minute, a second or an hour Live in the moment and pray For here there is no promise of tomorrow Our hope lies instead in that final hour When He calls us to our eternal tomorrow So live today as if it’s your last and rest upon His power To guide you through each days joy or sorrow And give Him your yesterday, today and—tomorrow.
