WANTED - DANCERS | CoDa Dance Company CoDa Dance Company seeks 5 female dance artists for Spring 2014 (paid) for their next project L’Hermitte’. CoDa Dance is a London-based all-female contemporary dance company which focuses on creating cutting-edge choreography and performances by blending intense physical theatre with contemporary dance, under the choreographic direction of Nikki Watson. L’Hermitte’s is the sensation of an electrical impulse running down the spine and limbs, a sensation regularly experienced by people with MS and other neurological diseases. The purpose of this project is to deliver creative movement workshops to people with auto-immune diseases, using this as movement research for a new dance piece. Deadline for application: 22/01/2014 This project is financially supported by Awards for All – BIG Lottery Fund, Arts Council England Grants for the Arts, and is receiving in-kind support from Surrey Arts, University of Roehampton and Tandridge Trust TLC. The project is being developed in partnership with Surrey Central Health and local autoimmune groups. This project requires 3 professional dancer/facilitators to deliver the workshops and a further 2 professional dancers to work with the facilitators to create the piece.
