WANTED: Host committee members, schools, churches and organizations for Justin Rudds 5-DAY CLOTHING & SHOE DRIVE for homeless men/women/kids in Long Beach. There will be no committee meetings. The Drive will be June 2-6 at Bay Shore Church in Belmont Shore, and now til June 6 at COA in downtown Long Beach. Committee members will agree to: • Donate some of their own clothes and shoes • Post a few times on their Facebook to get more donations. • Deliver your collected clothing from friends/family to one of two locations: • COA, 515 E. 3rd St. @ Linden Ave., 90802 (downtown; M-F, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; this location also accepts small household items and furniture) • Bay Shore Church, 5100 The Toledo @ Corona Ave., 90803 (Belmont Shore; M-F, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) All shoes and clothing will then be given out to homeless men/women/kids on subsequent Fridays at COA in downtown Long Beach. They serve hot meals two times a day, five days a week to about 200 clients. They also provide groceries two days a week to may families.
