**WARNING - GRAPHIC PHOTO** We are receiving kittens into rescue who are in rough shape. Please spay/neuter and keep your pets indoors - and preach it to everyone you meet! These are additional photos of little Colby who was found last night out in the rain. As you can see from the pic, his/her tail was most likely caught in something and in an effort to escape, he/she pulled off the fur and skin. Tomorrow Colby will receive blood tests and have his/her tail amputated. (we do not know if Colby is a male or female because our vet did not want to move the tail to determine the gender) This morning during transport, little Cheddar was found wading through marsh grass, soaking wet and scared. On Sunday night, a dear friend of ours had her dog find a kitten in her back yard. The kitten is dirty, had a grub living in its neck and is being evaluated for health issues. Last week, another dear friend had a kitten wander into her garage, he had grubs living in his neck and shoulder, had a severe upper respiratory infection and is recovering thanks to the medical treatment from Parkside Animal Care Center and the excellent care given by his foster mom. These are just babies and only a few of the animals that need help. We are a small (but effective) rescue - imagine how big the issue is when you consider all the other organizations out there that are experiencing the same thing. It can be overwhelming and yet we carry on because they need us. Your support makes this all possible and you are making a difference in the lives of these deserving animals. THANK YOU. If you would like to make a donation towards the care of these little ones or any of the other animals in our care, donations can be mailed to PO Box 33202, Green Bay, WI 54303
