WARNING: Being 21 is not fun. In fact, its awful. Want a car? Oh sorry, you can buy a car if you want too, but your insurance will probably be just as high as the car payment. ... if not higher. You know, because everyone who is 21 is a complete idiot. Or at least we are just going to assume you are. Want equal opportunity in the work force? Oh sorry, everyone is full of encouragement and verbal support, but dont expect to actually get a promotion ... or more than a .22 cent raise. Actually just dont expect anything except verbal encouragement, that way, when you do get a miniscule raise youll actually feel accomplished. Do you have goals in life? Oh sorry, until youre at least 27 your goals are childish & invalid. Actually, you dont even have goals... they are just fantasies and hopeless dreams. Want to prove to your family that youre not screwing around? Oh sorry, youll be required to acquire lawful advice, go to court with them and then have them publicly humiliated in front of law abiding officials. (Yes, this actually happened.) Would I like for people other than my peers who are going through similar struggles to read this and actually try to understand the situations and their discriminatory ignorance? Yes! But instead, most anyone 10 to 10,000,000 years older than me will just blow the whole thing off as another one of those he is young & stupid rants. Why? Because Im 21.
