The Spanish come regularly to Ireland to purchase greyhounds at the sales around the country. Before Christmas Irish greyhounds suffocated to death on the ferry en route from Ireland to Spain. The fate of so many greyhounds or galgos as they are called in Spain is a life of misery and suffering often meeting their death in the most violent gruesome manner. Please speak up for these innocent dogs, they are voiceless but you are not. Please email the welfare manager at the Irish Greyhound board at [email protected] and the Minister for Agriculture at [email protected] and ask them to stop the Irish greyhound industry from selling our greyhounds to Spanish buyers.
