Sad to see stuff like this happen, so lets not waste his senseless death by not learning from it. Lessons: 1. Never, ever, ever let someone behind you when youre in a confrontation with them. Make no mistake, this officer is searching the bag of his murderer. They are in a confrontation. So allowing him to get behind him was a fatal mistake. If youre in a confrontation dont allow your aggressor to get in your blind spot. 2. Notice how he shut down when shot in the CNS. This is a terrible example from a moral perspective but a good one from the perspective of showing what taking out the CNS does. This is why it is crucial for you to be able to hit a small area on demand with your EDC pistol, for responses like this if you need it. Again, this is a morally repugnant example of that and I do not glorify it. 3. The criminal once again has no moral compunction against murder. He has made his bargain with God and does not care about the ethical implications of his actions. Dont expect a criminal to operate within the bounds of society because they simply wont. Attitude. Skills. Plan.
