WARNING. I was approached by a person named Joel Kigwana with a friend request. I notice this person has been sharing posts from another Christian I do have personal relationship with and her credibility could have swayed me to just accept them but I did my own research first and I dont just accept peoples friend requests straight away. Do not be fooled by people who befriend you. They can easily find pictures of charity workers with African children and pretend to be working with these children. I notice he has stories on his facebook page that would evoke your Pity. You do not know who he is. He isnt a registerd Charity or with any Church or Missionary group you may know. Please do some research and phoning around or asking other Christians if they actually know of this person or any charity group that you come across on Facebook. I have found many warnings about Scammers setting up fake pages on Facebook. Think about who you befriend. You may not send him money but your credibility as a Christian can be used by this person to deceive others and take their money. First of all I have knocked back his friend request. I am blocking him from my Facebook page and I am very wary about this facebook person claiming to be working with orphans in Africa. The person is also on Facebook as Kingwana Joel. He is from guess where? Uganda. The Scamming capital of the world right now. If you feel you want to help Ugandans I would find registered Christain Charities that are transparent and provide evidence of their Missionary Work or a Church that you know has sent someone to that country. I certainly wouldnt be handing my money or any personal financial details over to anyone just because you see some pity evoking pictures or read their stories of hardship and suffering. You have no proof it is real. You could be just putting money into the hands of some criminal or worse into the account of some terrorist organisation.
