WARNING TO ALL INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS COMING TO THE US. TSA has tightened security at all Immigration check points in US airports. My sister-in-law, A US citizen who recently retired from Boeing after 25 years returned from a trip to Australia. She landed in San Francisco. Wherever you land in the US that is where you go through Immigration. Every item in her backpack & carryon luggage had to be removed by her. The TSA officials took her camera & told her it must be checked. Turn it on. The battery was dead after the long flight. So the TSA took her camera. I will be traveling to Texas from Bangkok on Sept. 16. I will definitely find a place to recharge my camera before going through Immigration. To lose an expensive camera to the US Govenrment is not something I intend the Gestapo TSA an opportunity to do I wll be landing at DFW which used to not be as bad as Seattle or LAX. But security has been increased to an ubelievable degree. Read an article by a former NSA official who said the NSA is increasing its spying as new buildings are being built to store more information. He said the NSA has not been resonsible for finding a single terrorist, not one. And, dont wear loose clothing when landing in the US from overseas. I have seen those people not only be body searched but put through the x-ray booth & often taken to another room to be further body searched. My sister-in-law went through all this as she still hasnt learned to NOT wear loose clothing. Those of us who travel to the US from foreign countries know what we are up against. Luckily we are not treated like we are terrorists on stops in other countries on the way to the US. I saw security take away a guy at LAX who refused to take off his belt.I also learned not to argue with them as my wife had to save me after being yelled at and treated rudely by a big Black woman or I would not have been allowed to board the plane from LAX to Bkk.
