WARNING. WILL PROBABLY PISS OFF A GOOD NUMBER OF PEOPLE. READ ONLY IF YOU ARE GOING TO KEEP AN OPEN MIND (Which is funny for me since I try to avoid religion on Facebook because its entirely too easy for people to get their junk in a bind over it) I was talking to a friend who is working on a Christian based comic. They sent over some pictures and illustrations for what they wanted people and characters to look like. The first 3 pages were on the fall of Lucifer. And he was gorgeous and beautiful while he was an angel in heaven. But after he was cast out, he was depicted falling and he was being twisted and turned into The Devil that most Christians associate him as. Well, I called them out on Lucifer. No where in the bible does it state that when he was cast out he became ugly and disformed into a beast. He still remained beautiful for he was and always will be an angel (although fallen) and the morning star. Just cause he was cast out, does not change his appearance. Yes, its your artistic view and freedom. But if you are going to sell it as being as close to the bible and the word as possible, dont change how Lucifer looks. Its a massive pet peeve of mine. Even when I was a Christian, I hated how ugly they made the devil look. Why not be honest and make him gorgeous and show just how dangerous he really is? Ok. I think my rant is over. If you want to chime in, feel free. I would love to hear what some other people think to see if Im the only one who feels this way or not.
