There is an email scam going around right now that states the following or something similar... __________________________________ Subject Line: An order is ready for you to pick up at Walgreens Walgreens Order READY FOR PICKUP Please confirm your Walgreens order (Link provided for you to confirm) Your order is ready for pickup at your local Walgreens View your order here (Link provided for you to confirm) This order will be lost if you do not claim it by today. ____________________________________ They even have a link at the bottom at times to request to be removed from their email list. Most of you probably know this...JUST DELET THE EMAIL AND BY ALL MEANS DONT CLICK ON ANY OF THE LINKS! Walgreens/CVS may send you a notification that your prescriptions are ready for pickup but they WILL NOT ask you to click on a link to confirm your order or information. This is simply a scam to either install malicious malware on your computer or smartphone or to obtain personal information to steal your identity and cause financial havoc in your life. You may not even notice anything wrong until days or months later when the malware activates. It can even possibly install RansomWare/Scareware on your computer or smartphone and lock it up until you pay their fee. Their intention is NOT to truly help you but to scare you or manipulate you into paying them money, in some cases hundreds of dollars...NEVER PAY THAT FEE. There are ways to undo the Ransomware/Scareware from your computer without paying their fee. Consult with a friend that is very knowledgeable with computers and removing malicious malware and see if they can assist. DONT CLICK THE LINKS!
