Why should I marvel at things stolen from me and actually believe the one who stole from me is actually intellectually superior at acquisition? When I see African immigrants marvel and comment on how the Europeans and Americans are so far ahead, how we can never get to where they are, and how it proves there is something wrong with us as black people and our govts, I think- there goes our problem. We are not sophisticated enough yet to understand the interplays of certain concepts and strategic interests. Most African Govts have not broken away from the model set deliberately by the colonists. And most Africans and blacks in Diaspora have not escaped the mind cages of the picture put over the mirror for us to see.
