WASHINGTON D.C. --- Hes had type-1-diabetes since he was two. Grant Denny is almost ten now, and the Amarillo native wants to find a cure. He visited Washington, DC last week with his family to speak with members of congress. Denny was one of the delegates chosen as part of the JDRF (formerly known as Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Childrens Congress. The three-day conference was made up of town hall meetings, training sessions and singing. The delegates performed with American Idol singer Crystal Bowersox.
