WATER RESOURCES FORECASTS HEAVY RAINFALL:: According to meteorologists at the department of water resources, the possibility of heavy rainfall predicted this year and the threshold is put at 750 mm as at now. This was revealed at a press briefing at the department’s press conference hall on 6 June. “The above forecast is based on the best estimate of the impact of the various factors affecting rainfall in the country, and would be updated on a monthly basis starting from the end of June 2013,” said Mr. Tijani Bojang, meteorologist at the department of water resources in Banjul.
