The job is part time Front Desk Agent and part time Bartender. The details are as follows: Qualifications • Will be working a mixture of 7-3pm /3-11pm shifts/3:30pm-12:30am or later • Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays • High School Diploma • Bilingual preferred • Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events • Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word • Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette • Ability to understand principles of auditing, balancing and closing out accounts • ability to compile facts and figures for audit • Must be bondable • Criminal record check needed Job Duties • Performing Check-ins/Check-outs/Cancellations • Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations department. Creating same day reservations and future reservations. Knows the cancellation policies and procedures • Responsible for your front desk float • Processing cash and credit payments • Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying them of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests and day use rooms • Knowledge of all conferences being held each day • Manage small guest issues • Tracks room revenue, occupancy percentages for night audit spreadsheet • Prepares summary of cash, check, credit cards, debit and direct billing to reflect the hotel’s print out for spreadsheet • Post room and tax to guest accounts. Process guest charges to credit cards for express check-outs • Verifies all account postings and balances • Performs all other duties assigned • Welcome guests within one minute of their entrance of the bar. • Offer exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to make the guests stay a memorable one. • Prepare drinks. • Use suggestive selling and up selling techniques. • Ensure all orders and sales are written down. • Prepare and deliver all orders in a timely manner, this includes room service orders. • Ensure quality of drinks by checking back with all patrons during their time in the lounge. • Provide information about services available in the Hotel as well as the community. • Verify and take guest’s form of payment. Ensuring proper change is given and all charges are posted (including gratuities). • Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, cheque and cash handling procedures. • Clearing tables and reseting as guest’s come and go. • Checking Identification of guests who do not look of age. • Using proper telephone ettiquite for room service calls. • Keeping the bar well stocked and notifying supervisors of anything that needs to be replaced in advance. • Keep the Lounge, Great Room, and Patio clean and tidy throughout shift. • Empty all ashtrays on the patio at the beginning and end of every shift. • Ensure every night when you leave that the Lounge, Great Room, and Patio are clean and ready for the next day. • Attend monthly staff meetings. • Report any unusual occurances or requests to the Front Office Supervisor, Lounge Supervisor, and incoming shift personnel. • Know all safety and emergency procedures. • Wash all glassware and utensils after each use. • Determine which liquors and wines are not moving and come up with daily specials. • Write Daily Specials on the Specials Board. • Assist in Conferences for bartending when needed. • Weekly Inventory. • Assist at the Front Desk when needed. • Any other duties management deems necessary.
