WE ARE LOOKING FOR PARTICIPANTS FROM SWEDEN!! Dear partners and friends, Sveriges Unga Azerbajdzjaner (SUA) in partnership with «Bridge to the Future» Youth Public Union welcomes you to participate in the youth exchange with the title of “Youth Creativity in Conflict Resolution””. The project aims to deal with conflict and conflict management in general terms in order to understand basics of conflicts, conflicts dynamics and conflict resolution, to share and discuss current conflicts in Europe, to empower and motivate young people to take an active role in conflict resolution and reconciliation processes as European Citizens, and to elaborate creative means of conflict resolution on local level. Dates Arrival: 7th September afternoon Departure: 15th September morning Venue and Accommodation Karvansaray Hotel, Ganja, Azerbaijan Az-2000 Participants will be staying in shared rooms. (Two person per room) All accommodation and food costs are covered. Facilities in the hotel such as swimming pool and sauna are free of charge, so bring your swimsuits and comfortable clothes to enjoy the facilities. On the other hand due to Intercultural nights bring some traditional food, candy, drinks, something you think that special to your country. Do not forget to bring booklets, leaflets, publications from your organisation that you can share with other participants. NOTE: Please note that we are not able to provide accommodation out of the dates of the project. We can only ask to our volunteers who can host the people due to their flight dates. Therefore, we choose an approach focusing on local daily life conflicts of our participants that will allow to anchor the project directly in a world relevant and accessible to them as individuals, and to draw conclusions based on one’s own life reality for more complex social or political conflicts. Objectives of the Project are: To understand basics of conflicts, conflicts dynamics and conflict resolution To share and discuss current conflicts in Europe To empower and motivate young people to take an active role in conflict resolution and reconciliation processes as European Citizens To elaborate creative means of conflict resolution on local level reporting & evaluation setting of budget in accordance with funding rules The methodology of the project will be based on a participatory, trainee centered approach of non-formal education including a high diversity of inclusive education measures providing space for individual and group learning. The language of the project will be English. The Profile of Participants Important: Each partner organization should select 4 participants + 1 group leader by taking into consideration of gender balance. Youth or social workers actively involved in international and/or local youth, social, community work Young people between 18-25 Willing to get involved in non-formal education activities Able to work in English Willing to share the new knowledge with the members of his/her organization once he/she gets back Able to attend the entire duration of the course Health Insurance and Travel reimbursement: The health insurance is not provided and will not be reimbursed by the organizers. All participants are strongly advised to purchase private travel insurance. All Visas related expenses will be reimbursed in 100 % up to agreed limit based on original receipts. 70% of travel costs will be reimbursed only for the cheapest way of transport and preferably for the return tickets. Below, please find the table with eligible costs for per participant coming from each country: Country Eligible 100% travel costs maximum Eligible 70% travel costs maximum By the rules of the Youth in Action Programme, you will be reimbursed 70% of your travel costs (for all the original tickets and ways of travel that are plane, bus, train, NOT taxi and NOT car). Participants must keep all travel documents (tickets, travel agency invoices and boarding passes) as organizers are able to make any reimbursement only on the bases of presented documents! The travel reimbursement will be done either in cash or by bank transfers to private bank accounts of yours after you return home and send us the ORIGINAL boarding passes and tickets. When you are buying a ticket, ask for additional bill as well, if possible. ! Note: If participants pay for their ticket with a credit card, they are requested to bring along the confirmation of payment (i.e. credit card slip and/or bank statement). !!Note: Reimbursement will be done in EUR, regardless of the currency indicated on the ticket and receipt/invoice. Any tickets purchased in a local currency other than EUR, will then be converted and calculated according to the exchange rate of the month when the grant agreement for this project will be signed. !!!Note: Finally, please make copies (or even better, scan or take photographs) of all tickets and invoices and email these to jeyhunashirov@yahoo before attending the project. This will be very helpful to organizers to begin processing the financial and reimbursement data so that all payments may be made as efficiently as possible. THE DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO COMPLETE YOUR REIMBURSMENT: 1. Invoice or copy of credit card slip 2. Boarding passes 3. Travel reimbursement form (which you should collect in the reception on your arrival) 4. Relevant tickets or a copy (plane, train, etc)
