WE ASSUME THAT LONG LIFE IS AUTOMATIC DESPITE ALL THE EVIDENCE AROUND US! WHO REALLY CARES TO TAKE THE WORD OF GOD SERIOUSLY! CHOOSE LIFE!!! Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: that thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy sons son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. Deuteronomy 6:1,2 KJV God gave us commandments from His infinite wisdom for our own good; but we always think that we know better than God. Just like when children rebel against parents; thinking and sometimes saying that their parents counsel is archaic and believing that the parents dont know what is best for their children. Hmmmm! Be very careful folks! God is Love truly; but He is also an All-Consuming Fire! Father, Help us not to sin against You in Jesus Name. Amen!!! Isaiah 46:3,4 NIV God made a promise to the children of Israel! He is reminding them in the Scripture above. What does God ask in return? To fear God and obey His Commandments. People always say that Gods Love is unconditional. This is so far from the truth of God and His Word. Otherwise God would not go on and on about fearing Him and obeying His Commandments in His Word! To whom much is given, much is desired is part of Gods Word too! Father, Teach us Your Ways and Give us a heart that is willing to obey and please You in Jesus Name. Amen!!! The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you. Proverbs 9:10,11 NASB Some even say to you that God is your father and you dont need to fear God! What rubbish! The Word of God tells us to fear God and some smart intellectual tells you otherwise and you believe him or her over God and His Word? That is disrespectful in itself and punishable by God! Hmmm! O Father, we are so foolish; Help us to receive Your Wisdom for life in Jesus Name. Amen!!! O God, You have taught me from my youth, And I still declare Your wondrous deeds. And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come. For Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the heavens, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You? Psalm 71:17-19 NASB There is none holy as the Lord! Who is like the Lord for us who believe? No one! You raise us from youth until were old and grey, just for Your Purposes in Christ Jesus. To seek Your Face and to declare Your Wonders to our generation and the next generation; such that they do likewise and Your Renown moves with the Power of Your Holy Spirit through the generations forever and ever. Matthew 26: 63b-68 (NIVUK) Our Lord Jesus Christ was charged under oath to confirm His Identity like a common criminal. He took it all for our sakes; that we might be reconciled to God Almighty! Jesus did; but was He believed? That very confirmation was used against Him; and for that reason He had to die. They thought they were doing right; however, they didnt know that they were acting out Gods already written script! He was brutalised maximally and subsequently sentenced to death; the worst possible death reserved for the worst of criminals. Yes, this is what Jesus Christ went through for you and for me and indeed for all humanity! Yet, how many of us accept Him? How many of us obey His Word? Hmmm! Forgive us o Lord; for we have sinned against You. Help our unbelief and sinfulness. Help us to be more like You day after day till we are perfect in Jesus Name. Amen!!! (1) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 NKJV The world teaches us that faith is seeing is believing! Would we listen to the world or to God? Judge yourself; and see who you really believe! Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we have not seen!
