WE HAVE RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING FROM ARGYLL AND BUTE COUNCIL Argyll and Bute Council and Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), want to develop the area’s cultural, heritage, arts and Gaelic assets to contribute further to community life and encourage more visitors. They are asking artists and craft makers, voluntary organisations and businesses in the culture, heritage and arts community to tell them what their needs are and how they can increase the number of people who visit. In a major consultation everyone in the culture, heritage and arts sector in Argyll and Bute can contribute their views through an electronic survey. The survey link can be found at surveymonkey/s/RY86T22 The council’s Policy Lead for Community and Culture, Councillor Robin Currie, said, “Our culture, heritage and arts are fundamental to Argyll and Bute’s identity. They tell the story of the area’s character in ways which enrich our lives and delight our visitors. We hope as many people as possible take time to complete the survey. It would mean so much to the future development of the arts and culture of the area as well as increasing our potential to attract visitors.” As a thank you for contributing to the survey, the name of everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw for £100 of vouchers of the winner’s choice. Everyone with a Facebook or Twitter page is also being asked to add the link to publicise the project, broaden the debate and ensure its inclusiveness. The survey will be followed by workshops in late November to refine the plan. They will be held in Colintraive (Caol Rudh Sculpture Park) - Thursday 28 November
