She is under arrest (for believe it or not attempt to commit suicide) and is being force fed by the government through IV drips. This is one of the longest hunger strike by any person anywhere in the world. Yet no one has paid attention to her struggle. By comparison Anna Hazares longest fast has been for 16 days and Gandhijis for 21 days. Would the Central government have dared to ignore someone from mainland India? Is Irom Sharmila and millions of voices from North East going unheard due to government apathy and lack of unified voice from the North East? It is time for us to THINK and THINK HARD
