WE NEED PARENT VOLUNTEERS! We wanted to reach out and offer three opportunities this Fall where we could use some assistance at Parents Association events. If you are interested, you will receive a FREE UofL Proud Parent shirt for your volunteer time! Please just respond to the post if you can give of your time to any of the events below: 1) Sept 20 – Accolade Parent Panel – 2:15 pm – 3:00 pm; Student Activities Center (SAC) We parents of current students who may be interested in participating as panelists during a recruitment event. Accolade is an Admissions event that brings prospective students and families to campus to explore the University of Louisville. We would need a couple of parents to sit on a panel and answer questions and share their experiences with parents of prospective students. 2) Sept 27 – Family Weekend Tailgate – 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm (even an hour of time would help); Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium We are trying a brand new activity by hosting a tailgate on-site at the football stadium for Family Weekend. We would need greeters, registration table staffing, and parents to mingle with families. There may even be a possibility of a free football game ticket for volunteers (very limited supply left). 3) Oct. 18 – Parent of the Year Awards – 9:30 am – 11:30 am; Student Activities Center (SAC) This event celebrates all the families nominated for Parent of the Year. We would need greeters, registration table staffing, and parents to mingle with families. Thank you in advance for your consideration for volunteering at any or all of these events.
