WE SEARCH: Intern JOURNALISTS with native English or equivalent Level (M/F) DESNERCK MEDIA Ltd (inc England & Wales 07288954) is a media company specialized in online publishing and public relations/press relations. Its main daily newspaper -brusselsdiplomatic, is dedicated to EU related affairs, diplomacy, international affairs and expats in Brussels. For its department of online newspapers (brusselsdiplomatic, quotidienimmovandaag, journal des vignobles , vineyardspaper, vinoestile, it is recruiting 2 interns with background in journalism, media & communication. You will work under control of the managing director and the editor in chief. Start date: September 2013. Responsibilities: Update web content on website; Draft articles and provide editorial secretariat; Realize video topics and video-interviews, Work with the Media team to support the communications and media needs; Identification of suitable stories for developing into media pitches; Monitoring of the news agenda and reporting on specific coverage; Engage professionally with social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn; Provide general administrative support. Requirements: At least an undergraduate degree is required - a degree in multimedia communications, web design, new media, journalism, and/or international relations, politics, law, economics. English language skills at native-speaker level; Knowledge of French, Italian or Dutch is an asset; Passion for social media ; Good understanding of HTML/CSS; Microsoft word and publisher; Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, or other similar software; Highly organized and able to pay close attention to detail.
