WE SURVIVED THE 2014 TURLEY TSUNAMI Last night my beautiful daughter Jessica was married to a wonderful man Matt Patterson (even though he is a staunch Packer fan), thus ending the 2014 Turley Tsunami. So far this year my son Michael announced his engagement at the end of January. Five weeks later he and his fiancee were pregnant. The water started rising. The wedding date was moved up and by the end of March we had Meghans wedding shower. The wedding was in May and we started planning for my daughters wedding and the birth of our first grandchild. The water by now was up to our hips. Baby shower in July and Bridal shower for Jessica in August. By now were swimming for our lives. September brought birth pools on my granddaughters birth date, mine and Jasons birthdays and, at the end of the month, after 18 hours of labor and a C-section, my granddaughter Katelan Rosalee, was born. Less than two weeks later, it was Jessicas wedding day which was beautiful. The water started to drain away. WE HAD SURVIVED! IT WAS OVER! THE EMOTIONS, THE LAST MINUTE PLAN CHANGES, THE SHIFTING GEARS, THE WHICH EVENT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT! It was over and we made it. Life is good and we can relax, feet up, not a thought in our heads, just relax. Oh yeah, theres a christening, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. The water is rising, again!
